A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and founder of the Otunba Bobagunwa Foundation, Otunba Kazeem Olayemi Odeyeyiwa, has urged residents of Osun State to remain united and work together for the success of the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in the August 15 governorship election.
Odeyeyiwa made the call in Modakeke during a humanitarian outreach organised by his foundation, where more than 2,000 households received food items and cash support across the community’s 87 polling units.
He urged residents to come out en masse on election day and exercise their civic responsibility, stressing the need for unity among the people ahead of the poll.
According to him, the people of Osun should remain united in their pursuit of better governance and support the AMBO-Adereti ticket for the development and welfare of the state.
Odeyeyiwa expressed confidence that an administration led by Oyebamiji and his running mate, Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti, would promote development, inclusive governance and improved welfare across the state.
The foundation’s outreach, which attracted APC leaders, chieftains and supporters, was held across the 87 polling units in Modakeke.
Among those present were the Modakeke APC Apex Leader, Alhaji Wahab Adetunji; APC Chairman in Modakeke, Hon. Goke Adebowale; Council Chairman, Hon. Mojeed Lawal; Hon. Wale Amusan; Hon. Daud Olasupo; Hon. Kareem Ismail; Engr. Kayode Sowade; Prof. (Chief) Benjamin Adekunle Eegunranti; Chief Kola Olabisi; Hon. Adeboye Adegoke; Engr. Femi Olatoye; Alhaji Bisiriyu Kolawole and Chief Sharafadeen Ilhas.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, while party supporters at the event pledged their commitment to mobilising votes for Oyebamiji and Adereti in the forthcoming election.
Odeyeyiwa also urged political stakeholders and residents to conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the election.
