The Managing Director of Corpers’ Journey Advocacy Network (CJAN), Taiwo Ajayi, is among speakers expected to address young Nigerians at the International Youth Day Summit Nigeria 2026 scheduled for Wednesday, August 12.
The virtual summit, organised under the theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” will bring young people and stakeholders together to discuss issues affecting youths and their role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ajayi is expected to speak on the realities confronting young Nigerians and the need for greater opportunities for youth participation, decent work, quality education, leadership and sustainable development.
The organisers said the theme recognises that young people live in different social, economic and cultural circumstances but share common aspirations for dignity, opportunity, inclusion and a better future.
The summit is also expected to highlight the resilience, diversity and leadership of young people in contributing to development efforts in Nigeria and beyond.
The event will hold online via Microsoft Meet from 7:00 p.m. (WAT) on August 12.
Other participants are expected to engage in discussions on youth empowerment, the SDGs and practical ways of ensuring that young people have a greater voice in shaping policies and decisions that affect their future.
