The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Osun State chapter, has commended President Bola Tinubu for directing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to vacate the court order freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government.
The council described the directive as a demonstration of the President’s respect for democratic principles and the rule of law, saying it would further strengthen public confidence in Nigeria’s democratic institutions.
The caretaker committee chairman of Osun IPAC, Odesola Oluseye Titus, stated this in a statement issued on Friday in Osogbo.
Odesola praised Tinubu for directing the EFCC to comply with the court process, describing the President’s position on the independence and professionalism of law enforcement agencies as commendable.
He quoted the President as saying, “I have consistently maintained that anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies must be allowed to discharge their statutory responsibilities independently, professionally, without fear or favour or political interference.”
Odesola described Tinubu as the father of the nation, saying the President’s position should serve as a guide to other government institutions in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
The IPAC chairman also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army and other security agencies to draw lessons from the development and uphold their constitutional responsibilities as Osun State prepares for its governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
He said the President’s position should guide the conduct of all agencies involved in the electoral process, particularly the electoral commission and security agencies.

“INEC and the security agencies should ensure that their personnel discharge their duties without fear or favour, stressing that impartiality would be essential to the conduct of the election.
“Security and electoral institutions must operate independently and professionally while avoiding actions that could compromise public confidence in the electoral process,” he said.
IPAC further called on all stakeholders to respect the rights of voters and ensure that the outcome of the election reflects the will of the people through credible voting and proper counting of ballots.
“The voice of our people must be heard and their votes must count. We also advise all the political stakeholders in the state to play the game by the rule. They should realise that power belongs to God alone.
“IPAC equally urge the electorate to come out and perform their civic duties on the day of the election. Your vote will surely count by God’s grace,” Odesola said.
