The Accord Party candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Aare Abdulganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, has said his years of engagement with communities across the district have prepared him for effective representation in the Senate, assuring residents that he understands their challenges and will remain responsive to their needs if elected.
Asejere made the assertion while receiving members of the Ifesowapo Political Group, Osun Central Chapter, who paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in the GRA area of Osogbo to congratulate him on his emergence as the Accord Party’s candidate for the Osun Central Senatorial District.
Asejere expressed appreciation to the group for the visit and the confidence reposed in him, describing their support as a source of encouragement and motivation.
“I am grateful to the Ifesowapo Political Group for this show of support. Your confidence in me is encouraging, and I assure you that I will remain committed to the welfare and progress of our people.
I have spent years interacting with our people across communities in Osun Central, listening to their concerns and understanding their needs. Those experiences have prepared me for the task of representing them effectively in the Senate,” Asejere stated.
According to him, his ambition is driven by a desire to expand opportunities for residents, attract development to the district and ensure that the voices of the people are adequately represented at the national level.
“My aspiration is not about personal ambition; it is about creating opportunities for our people, attracting development to our communities and ensuring that Osun Central has a strong voice at the National Assembly,” he added.
He said continuity in governance would help consolidate ongoing developmental projects and sustain the progress recorded under the current administration, urging residents to remain committed to the state’s growth and development.
“I also urge all our supporters and stakeholders to intensify efforts towards the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke. Continuity will help consolidate the developmental strides already being witnessed across Osun State,” he said.
Speaking during the visit, the Osun Central Coordinator of the group, Comrade Adebayo Maruff, who led the delegation, described Asejere as a grassroots politician with a proven record of service, accessibility and commitment to the welfare of the people.
“Aare Asejere has consistently demonstrated leadership, accessibility and commitment to the people. His track record in community service gives us confidence that he will provide quality representation for Osun Central,” Maruff said.
