Tinubu Records Landslide Victory in Osun APC Primary

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged winner of the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State after polling 100,888 votes in the exercise conducted across the state on Saturday.

Tinubu defeated his co-contender, Stanley Osayamen Osifor, who scored no vote in the primary election held across the 30 local government areas of the state.

Declaring the result in Osogbo, the Returning Officer for the Osun APC Presidential Primary Election and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, said the exercise recorded massive participation from party members.

According to him, all the 100,888 accredited APC members who participated in the election voted for Tinubu.

Oyetola said the outcome reflected the confidence of party members in Tinubu’s leadership and the Renewed Hope agenda of his administration.

He also described the conduct of the primary as peaceful and orderly across the state, commending party members for their turnout and commitment to the APC.

“The successful conduct of the exercise across all local governments again shows the unity and strength of our party in Osun State,” he said.

Speaking earlier, the APC governorship candidate in Osun State, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the primary.

Oyebamiji commended party members for participating in the exercise and supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies, journalists and party observers monitored the exercise held in the state.
