Jagun Jagun” (The Warrior) stands as a blockbuster film from Nollywood, brought to life through the collaboration of actor Femi Adebayo Salami and Euphoria360 Media. The directing duties were shared by Adebayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo Salami, Femi’s younger brother.

The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Femi Adebayo Salami, his father Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Yinka Quadri, Dele Odule, Peju Ogunmola, Lateef Adedimeji, Bimbo Ademoye, Faithia Balogun, the well-known skit creator Mr Macaroni, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Ibrahim Yekini, and Muyiwa Ademola, among other talents.

The plot of “Jagun Jagun” revolves around the story of Ogundiji (portrayed by Femi Adebayo Salami), a warlord who finds himself uneasy due to the rising threat posed by a young warrior named Gbotija. Gbotija’s primary goal is to avenge his father’s death.

Having made its debut on the Netflix streaming platform on August 10, 2023, the movie has quickly garnered attention, becoming a topic of discussion. Nevertheless, here are five lesser-known aspects of this remarkable cinematic endeavor:

1.The production of the movie spanned a concise 45 days, equating to just one and a half months.

2.The male actors involved in the film underwent a rigorous three-month workout regimen preceding the shoot. This preparation aimed at sculpting their bodies to suit their respective roles.

3.Femi Adebayo Salami, the movie’s producer, divulged that he liquidated some of his assets to secure funding for the project. However, the returns from the movie have exceeded threefold the amount garnered from the sale of those properties.

4.Notable expenditure within the movie’s budget was allocated to security measures, owing to the challenging shooting locations.

5.During the filming process, Lateef Adedimeji, one of the lead actors essaying the role of Gbotija, sustained a leg injury.
