The HND 2 Broadcast students of Mass Communication at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, showcased their movie premiere titled “Vengeance.”

The event, held at the ETF hall of the institution, was a collaborative effort between the students, their department lecturers, and the school management, who provided essential equipment for the movie’s successful production.

“Vengeance” explores the repercussions of seeking revenge and promotes moral values within society to its student audience.

Distinguished guests, including Nigerian celebrity and Nollywood Actor Olasunkanmi Akanni, also known as ‘Olohun Iyo,’ and the chairman of Boluwaduro Local government in Iree, graced the occasion alongside the institution’s rector, Mr. Kehinde Alabi, and other esteemed faculty members.

The event was made possible through sponsorship from the Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State, Iree chapter, which awarded a cash prize of #25,000 and scholarships to the top two students from ND 2 and HND 2 with the highest cumulative grade points, recognizing their dedication and excellence.

Mr. Aderemi Adeagbo led the film production course, while Mr. Adekunle Sikiru served as the Assistant producer of the movie. Several students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the movie were also recognized and awarded.

The event commenced with the introduction of dignitaries, including the Rector, Kehinde Alabi, and the Head of the Mass Communication department, Idowu Akinrosoye, followed by the screening of the movie for the audience to enjoy.
