A Consultant Family Physician at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Dr Jide Seriki, has urged residents of Osun State to seek medical care from qualified health professionals and recognised medical facilities rather than risk their health through unqualified providers.
Seriki gave the advice during the launch of Royal Crown Diagnostics Laboratory in Osogbo, where residents benefited from free medical screenings, consultations and drugs.
He stressed the importance of seeking appropriate medical attention and undergoing regular health checks, noting that early detection of health conditions could help prevent complications.
The free screening exercise covered blood pressure checks, weight measurement and tests for Hepatitis B and C.
A medical laboratory technician, Adewale Adelabu, said about 70 people benefited from the exercise.
Some beneficiaries, including Olumide Oyedeji, Olowookere Abiola Tobiloba and Oluwaseun Claire, expressed appreciation for the initiative and the opportunity to access free medical services.
