Popular Nollywood actor Taiwo Ibikunle is set to visit the Department of Performing Arts for its induction ceremony at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA) on February 29th and March 1st, 2024.
Ibikunle revealed this in a video he released on his Instagram handle that he would be live at the department of performing art of AAUA as the chief priest for the new induction 2023/2024 year, tagged “Redemption”
He urged his fans in Ondo state, mostly the students of AAUA, to be present at the induction ceremony which will come up on 29th February to 1st of March respectively at Obasanjo hall multipurpose hall by getting their tickets on the university campus.
In an interview with The Harbinger, the Social Director of PFA, Umor Francis, emphasized that the induction ceremony is a yearly program organized to indoctrinate the newly admitted Freshers of the department into the world of acting.
Francis highlighted that this belief has lived over the years. “Trust me, it’s been over 3 months of rigorous rehearsals and it’s of certainty that they’ve learned so much from the world of Theatre. ‘They automatically bear the name Thespians after the induction,’ He said.
Adekunle Oluwatomisin, who serves as one of the organizers said the induction is to formally introduce the new performing arts students into the world of theater.
The students of the department are eager and excited to host the Nollywood icon on their 7th induction ceremony of the most celebrated department, Featuring lots of activities.
This can be seen in the energy they put into their rehearsals to make the D-Day worth it.
The students of the department call on the students to join them at Obasanjo hall by as they welcome the next generation of thespians into the enchanting world of theater.
