Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been honoured as the Most Influential Governor of the Year (In Infrastructure) by Media Techniques Ltd, publishers of City People Magazine.
In a letter addressed to the Governor and signed by the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Oluseye Kehinde, the award was described as a recognition of Adeleke’s “giant strides in the infrastructure revolution across Osun State.”
“I write to inform you that you will be honoured with the Most Impactful Governor of the Year Award (In Infrastructure) at the forthcoming 2025 City People Awards for Excellence. This is in appreciation of your giant strides as it concerns the infrastructure revolution in Osun State,” the letter stated.
The City People Awards for Excellence is an annual event that has held for 29 years, honouring distinguished personalities, public office holders, politicians, and organisations for excellence in their respective fields.
According to the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 25th, in Lagos.
Governor Adeleke has received multiple recognitions in recent times, including the New Telegraph Governor of the Year Award (Health), Vanguard Governor of the Year, Leadership Best Governor of the Year, and the Champion Newspapers Man of the Year (Good Governance).
Other honours include the 2024 Best Civil Service-Loving Governor in Nigeria Award by the Nigeria Civil Service Union, the NELFUND Award of Excellence, Boss Newspaper Governor of the Year, News Direct Governor of the Year, NIPR Excellence Award, Nigerian Society of Engineers Excellence Award, South West Advancement Award, and the Nigerian National Cooperative Most Outstanding Governor of the Year Award, among others.
