The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ordered the arrest of its dismissed staff member, Olakunle Alex Folarin, for unlawful possession of the agency’s property, including an official identity card.
Folarin, who worked as a driver at the Commission’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was recently dismissed after being found guilty of certificate forgery.
In a statement on Monday, EFCC distanced itself from Folarin’s appearance on a matchmaking programme hosted on Lege Miami’s social media platforms, stressing that his conduct after dismissal was personal and unconnected to the agency.
EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, directed that Folarin be taken into custody for failing to return the Commission’s belongings.
The Commission also cautioned members of the public against associating Folarin’s activities with the agency, while reaffirming its commitment to integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
