An Osogbo-born Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Osun Central Senatorial District, Kunle Adegoke, popularly known as K-RAD, has commended the founder of Radio Òròkí, Mukhtar Ajelogbon, for what he described as his remarkable growth and impact in the media industry.
K-RAD gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the newly established online radio station in Osogbo alongside members of his entourage.
Speaking during the visit, the APC chieftain described Ajelogbon’s journey in journalism as inspiring, noting that his consistency, professionalism and commitment to mentoring young media practitioners have distinguished him in the industry.
According to him, young people across Osun State should draw lessons from Ajelogbon’s dedication and steady rise in the media space.
“Beyond building his brand, he has also created opportunities and mentorship for others in journalism. That is leadership,” K-RAD said.
He further expressed confidence in the vision behind Radio Òròkí after watching the station’s pre-debut presentation, describing the platform as a project deserving support and encouragement.
“This is our product. We will support your vision,” he added.
Also speaking during the visit, Professor Moruf Hasan described Ajelogbon as a worthy ambassador of Osogbo whose reputation and media brand continue to attract positive recognition within and outside Osun State.
“We are proud of you because we have heard several commendable public opinions about your brand and personality. I must sincerely commend you for your impact,” Hasan stated.
The visit highlighted the growing recognition of indigenous media platforms and their role in information dissemination, youth development and public engagement across the state.
