The Osun State Police Command has begun investigating the death of a young woman, Bidemi Omole, who died shortly after arriving at her boyfriend’s residence in Esa-Oke, Osun State.
Omole was said to have visited her boyfriend, identified as Yinka, on Friday evening when she suddenly took ill and began vomiting. She reportedly died on the way to the hospital.
The incident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., caused panic in the community as residents trooped to the scene in Oke Esa area.
Police spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident on Sunday, adding that the boyfriend had been arrested.
“The deceased went to her boyfriend’s house in Esa-Oke and suddenly developed complications. She was rushed to a hospital but died on the way. The suspect is in our custody, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death,” Ojelabi said.
