The Olowu of Kuta, His Royal Majesty Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun III, has commended the unwavering dedication of the Nigerian Armed Forces and security agencies in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and citizens.
In his 2025 New Year message, the monarch expressed profound gratitude to the military, describing their sacrifices as a beacon of hope. He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the armed forces, emphasizing that unity and collective efforts are crucial for building a safer and more prosperous nation.
“As we step into the year 2025, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the gallant officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces. Your commitment to our security inspires hope. I call on all Nigerians to appreciate and support their sacrifices,” Oba Makama stated.
The traditional ruler also called on Nigerians to align with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging citizens to embrace its vision for progress and inclusivity. He emphasized that unity and collaboration are essential for achieving national development and economic growth.
Oba Makama further highlighted the importance of traditional institutions as custodians of culture and stability. He appealed for respect and support for these institutions while encouraging Nigerians to uphold Isẹ̀ṣe traditions, which reflect the nation’s cultural and spiritual richness.
