Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has lauded the restructuring and expansion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the state, describing it as evidence of the party’s growing popularity and acceptance among the people.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor commended party leaders and members for the peaceful conduct of the recent ward congresses, noting that the outcome reflects the PDP’s unity and strength ahead of the 2026 elections.
Adeleke said his recent unscheduled visits to different parts of the state showed strong grassroots support for the PDP and his administration. According to him, residents acknowledged not only the good intentions of the party but also its capacity to deliver good governance across all sectors.

The governor emphasized that the PDP remains the most widely supported political party in Osun, pointing to multiple endorsements from stakeholders and interest groups in recent months. He noted that, unlike opposition parties battling internal divisions, the PDP is consolidating its base and reaffirming itself as a people-focused platform.
While congratulating the state PDP leadership, Adeleke praised the efforts of State Chairman Sunday Bisi, the Stakeholders’ Forum, and his Chief of Staff for their roles in strengthening the party. He pledged to continue prioritizing infrastructural development—both hard and soft—as well as policies that improve the welfare of residents.
“The PDP is stronger, entrenched, and positioned for future victories,” the statement read, assuring citizens that the administration will sustain its focus on good governance beyond 2026.
