With just days to the Osun local government elections, the state’s electoral commission, OSSIEC, has reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent process by unveiling voting materials.
During a press briefing on Monday at its Osogbo headquarters, OSSIEC Chairman Barrister Hassim Abioye assured voters that the commission is fully prepared for a free, fair, and credible election.
“All materials are secured, and we are coordinating with security agencies to ensure a smooth process,” he said.

Ballot papers, result sheets, and other essential materials were displayed, with immediate plans for distribution to local government areas.
Political party representatives and civil society groups witnessed the unveiling. Osun IPAC Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, praised OSSIEC’s preparations and expressed confidence in the commission’s leadership.
He also confirmed that none of the 18 political parties under IPAC have withdrawn from the election, dismissing any speculations of boycotts.
