The Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande, has denied a media report claiming he said Governor Ademola Adeleke had not contacted him regarding his second-term ambition.
In a statement signed by Akande on Monday, the party chairman—who also serves as the Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Osun State—described the report as false, insisting he never issued any official comment on the matter.
“I did not make any official statement suggesting that Governor Adeleke has not consulted me,” Akande stated, distancing himself from the publication.
He further explained that the Accord Party would soon release an official position for the public, urging residents to rely only on authorised communication from the party.
“Our political party, Accord, will, in due course, make an official statement for the information of the general public,” he said. “I urge the public to believe only information released directly and officially by the party.”
The statement was signed by Pastor Victor Akande, Accord Chairman, Osun State, and Chairman of IPAC, Osun State.
