The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has released the list of successful applicants for ad-hoc staff recruitment ahead of the 2025 Local Government Election.
In a statement signed by the commission’s Information Officer, Sadiat Isiaka, OSSIEC disclosed that the recruitment was aimed at filling key positions such as Returning Officers (ROs), Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), and Poll Clerks (PCs).
According to the statement, the shortlisted individuals include civil servants, teachers, academics, youth corps members, and retirees. “The majority of those selected are from the civil service and the teaching service of the state, alongside academics, Youth Corps members, and a good number of retirees who are not yet tired,” the statement read.
It was also announced that training for Supervisory Presiding Officers is scheduled to hold from February 1 to 2, 2025, while the training dates for other categories of ad-hoc staff will be communicated in due course.
Applicants have been advised to check the OSSIEC website to confirm their status. The commission further urged successful candidates to attend the training center with copies of their printouts or PDF slips.
The recruitment is part of OSSIEC’s efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming elections in the state.
