NSE President Hails Osun’s Infrastructure Development Under Governor Adeleke’s Leadership

The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala (FNSE), has lauded Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for his strategic use of local engineers in managing the state’s extensive infrastructure projects.

During her two-day working visit to Osun State, Engr. Oguntala inspected several ongoing projects, including the Akoda, Ede Dual Carriage Way, and the Flyover Bridge.

She praised the governor’s efforts, describing the projects as “massive and outstanding,” and emphasized that these initiatives will significantly benefit the people of Osun upon completion.

“This is a commendable approach. By engaging local engineers, Governor Adeleke is not only advancing the state’s infrastructure but also promoting local expertise,” Oguntala remarked. She further encouraged other state governors to emulate this approach to foster local engineering talent across Nigeria.

The infrastructure projects form part of Governor Adeleke’s multi-billion Naira plan to attract investment and boost the economy of Osun State.

Representing the governor, the Commissioner for Special Duties and Regional Integration, Hon. B.T. Salami, welcomed Engr. Oguntala and expressed the governor’s eagerness to meet her at the Government House. He reiterated Governor Adeleke’s commitment to continuing the patronage of local engineers, ensuring that they play a central role in the state’s developmental agenda.
