The Osun State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has concluded its review of the recently held local government elections and is set to announce its official position in the coming days.
Following a meeting on Sunday, February 23, 2025, IPAC assessed the conduct, outcome, and overall administration of the electoral process. The council stated that its stance would be made public through a world press conference.
Speaking on the development, IPAC Chairman in Osun, Pastor Victor Akande, confirmed the decision. “Our official position on the election will be made known to the public through a world press conference soon,” he said.
Akande acknowledged the participation of all stakeholders and reiterated IPAC’s commitment to strengthening democracy in the state. “We appreciate the contributions of all stakeholders in the electoral process and remain committed to promoting transparent and fair elections in Osun State,” he added.
The local government elections have been widely discussed across the state, with various political parties and observers awaiting IPAC’s assessment. The council’s upcoming declaration is expected to shed light on its evaluation of the polls and any recommendations for future electoral improvements.
