Though Bello’s path to Kigali was not simple, her unwavering confidence in her abilities kept her motivated. “I never questioned my talent, even when my game was declining, particularly at Ghana’s last African Games. Being on the Nigerian national team is a privilege I greatly value. In a country with millions of athletes, making the team is not a simple task. Knowing that I would have the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games if I could join the team, traveling to Kigali seemed natural.”
Bello’s journey to the Olympics is a testament to her commitment and the support of her family and mentors. Her father and brother were instrumental in motivating her to follow her passion for table tennis and supporting her through the highs and lows of her career.

Bello also appreciates the guidance of veteran players who have helped her along the way. “I appreciate the advice and encouragement many experienced players have given me. Having traveled a bigger circuit to qualify for the Olympics, I am more familiar with the terrain now.”
