Dogs Crypto: A New Era of Easy Mining and Profits

By Sakariyah Sodiq

Dogs is a Telegram-based cryptocurrency that allows users to mine its coin simply by visiting the Dogs bot on the Telegram platform daily.

Additional mining methods include completing in-game tasks and referring new miners to join the project.

The emergence of Telegram bots as a means of mining crypto has simplified the complexities associated with cryptocurrency. It has also reduced the monopoly of crypto trading.

This is evident as more people are now engaging in the activity, which today requires fewer resources and less knowledge to participate. With this development, crypto mining is now possible with just a smartphone and minimal data to access the internet.

Additionally, several new cryptocurrencies have been introduced on the “mining made easy” platform, including Telegram. Coins such as Notcoin and Avacoin have completed their mining sessions and launched on various exchange platforms.

One of the recently concluded projects is Dogs, which launched on Binance, Bitget, OKX, Bybit, and other leading exchanges.

This launch has thrilled its participants, also known as Dogs miners.

Insights on the Dogs Launch

The Dogs Web3 project was initially scheduled to launch on August 23, 2024, but was postponed to August 26.

According to an official post in the project’s Telegram community, the delay was to allow users to claim their earned tokens as the team devised a new technique to handle the overwhelming volume of claim requests.

“Claims to exchanges and Telegram Wallet will remain open until 4 pm UTC on August 23, and claims to non-custodial wallets will be available from 8 am UTC on August 26. The TGE and listing will occur at 12 pm UTC on August 26,” the post stated.

The team further asked for patience from miners, explaining that the shift was necessary to give the 8 million verified users enough time to claim their tokens. “We understand it may be frustrating for some of you, but we want to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to choose their preferred option,” the statement concluded.

The “Arrest Could Affect” Worry

After postponing the launch date twice, the Dogs team finally confirmed August 26, 2024, as the project’s listing date on selected exchange platforms. However, on Sunday, August 25, a day before the launch, news broke that Telegram CEO Pavel Durov had been arrested. This caused anxiety among miners, who wondered if the arrest would affect the coin’s launch or if it would proceed as scheduled.

To alleviate concerns, the project team addressed the community via Telegram, assuring participants that the coin’s listing would go ahead as planned.

“We stand with Pavel and Telegram in both good times and hard times. We are sticking to our commitment. Tomorrow, August 26, at 12:00 pm UTC, you will see Telegram $DOGS on all major exchanges. Stay strong and united, no matter what,” the team stated.

Dogs Launch and Miners’ Reactions

“Even after seeing the assurance post from the project team, I had a sleepless night, hoping and praying that the project would launch. I had delayed some financial responsibilities, relying on the potential profits from trading my tokens once they were listed on the exchanges,” said Ibrahim, a 32-year-old Dogs miner, in an interview.

Despite the obstacles, the Dogs team kept their promise and launched the cryptocurrency on the announced exchanges on August 26, 2024. The DOGS/USDT exchange rate hovered around 0.001. “The exchange rate fluctuated between 0.002 and 0.001 before and during the launch. Since then, it has seen various increases and decreases. The profits earned by Dogs miners depend on the amount of Dogs they mined and the exchange rate at the time of conversion,” explained Olojoku Adam, an experienced trader.

Miners expressed satisfaction with the launch, tagging it as both fulfilling and profitable. Abdul Rasheed Akere, another miner, said his profit from trading Dogs tokens helped meet his financial needs. “I earned over ₦22,000 from trading 14,800 Dogs. The money went a long way in clearing my debts, upgrading my phone, and buying a data subscription,” Akere said, praising the project’s smooth execution.

Similarly, Adam reported that the project exceeded expectations, particularly in its short mining period and simplicity. “I accumulated 106,000 Dogs and received nearly ₦130,000 when I sold them, a profit that came when I was financially strapped,” he added.

Abdul Jaleel Abbas also shared how his earnings from Dogs helped him purchase food supplies, stating that he earned ₦42,000 from trading his 28,680 coins.

Despite the success, some miners who underestimated the project now regret missing out on the opportunity. Mikail Abiola, who joined the project hours before the mining season ended, expressed disappointment at not taking it seriously.

“I realized too late that my lack of interest cost me. What I mined isn’t even worth converting to USDT,” Abiola said. He explained that his reluctance stemmed from a previous bad experience with Notcoin and the low exchange rate of Avacoin.

Similarly, Oladigbolu Ridwan and Modupeoluwa Riskat admitted they regretted not participating in the Dogs project, which they now see as a missed opportunity.

However, Nurudeen Alowonle, who also missed the airdrop, took a different approach by purchasing DOGS coins after the launch, during a price dip. He plans to sell when the value appreciates and advised fellow miners to adopt alternative strategies for earning in the crypto world if they miss similar opportunities.
