President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has written to the Senate, seeking confirmation of six nominees for appointment as Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The letter, dated September 1, 2025, was read during Tuesday’s plenary by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, in accordance with Section 154 (1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
Tinubu, in the correspondence, expressed confidence in the competence and integrity of the nominees and urged the Senate to give the request expeditious consideration.
Those nominated include:

Sen. Marafa Bashir Abba (Taraba State)

Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha (Borno State)

Bob Helen Inafa (Bayelsa State)
Gboyega Oladele, a close political ally of former Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, made the list among the nominees.
The Senate subsequently referred the President’s request to the Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs for further legislative action.
